NEW! Columbia City Ballet Video Classroom Presentations
Columbia City Ballet is offering a unique new component of the Educational Outreach Series for the 2007-2008 season! You can schedule an appearance by a Columbia City Ballet dancer and staff member for a private showing of one of three videos about the Company:
· Off the Wall & Onto the Stage: Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green – a 27-minute documentary showing excerpts from the ballet and interviews with choreographer William Starrett, visual artist Jonathan Green and singer Marlena Smalls. Appropriate for students of all ages.
· Columbia City Ballet Performance Highlights – 20 minutes of excerpts of Columbia City Ballet productions, including Giselle, Swan Lake, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Rodeo and Where the Wild Things Are. Appropriate for students of all ages.
· Beyond the Barre – Get up close and personal with Executive & Artistic Director William Starrett and the Columbia City Ballet! This 11-minute documentary, created with a reality-tv feel, takes you into the life of a professional ballet company through behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with William Starrett and the staff and dancers of the Company. Subject matter more appropriate for middle and high school students.
