Alicia White

 

 

Originally from Baltimore, Alicia White received her primary dance training at the Baltimore County Youth Ballet under the direction of Laura Gurdus Dolid. She completed her BFA degree with the Ailey/Fordham Program in 2005. There she had the opportunities to perform works by Alvin Ailey, Judith Jameson, Christopher Huggins, Dwight Roden, Josen Limon, and Alan Barnes among others. She also performed as an apprentice with Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Alicia joined the Columbia City Ballet in 2006, and was promoted to Soloist this season.

Dancing roles for the Columbia City Ballet include Candy Cane and Arabian in Nutcracker, one of Dracula’s favorite maidens in Dracula: Ballet with a Bite, as Charmain, handmaiden to the queen in Cleopatra, and is exceptional in “Treats Your Daughter Mean” and as the mother in “Daughters of the South” in Off the Wall and Onto the Stage: Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green.
